I’ve been quite satisfied with my Garmin Nuvi 1490t, except for the occasional spontaneous reboot. Recently however the reboot frequency increased dramatically, so I decided to contact Garmin through their website and ask for support. Below you’ll find the answer which really solved my problem. I haven’t had any reboot since I applied the solution.

Some time ago my PHPBB forum got filled with spam. I managed to remove the spammy content but Google still knew the links to these pages. When Google came back to spider these pages, my forum didn’t manage to explain that this content was actually gone.

For some reason my subtitles started to appear twice in my Media Player Classic (MPC) screen. I obviously did something wrong but how to repair it? MPC has dozens of settings and then there are all the different codecs with their settings. Fortunately I found the solution.
