The March of the Penguins or “Marche de l’empereur, La” is a movie about the March of emperor Penguins to their breeding ground. The event is intriguing and the camera work is great, but movies tries to make the penguins more human than they are. You see for example a lot of shot of a male and a female standing together as a couple. But the shots where just two men or two women stand together the same way are left out as much as possible. These decisions make me wonder on what other topics I’m being mislead. That’s a shame as the animals are fascinating enough the way they are.
Due to this overromanticising I give the movie a 5.
