I’ve only always known Clint Eastwood from his Wild West movies. In my memory he always had the same role although the movies changed from time to time. In 2008 Clint Eastwood came with Gran Torino, which by the way had nothing to do with the desert. He directed and movie and played the most important role. Could that ever work?
It worked. Gran Torino is one of the best movies of the first decade of this millennium. It’s a movie about a man, about modern societies, about war and their influences to the future, about different cultures, about passion, about mentality and I’m sure I forgot some themes. Gran Torino has content and is full of messages. I rate it with a 9.
